About the teachers:

Rabbi Ahron Y. Wasserman, Director of The Jewish Experience, received his rabbinic ordination and Master’s of Talmudic Studies from Beth Medrash Gevoha in Lakewood, NJ. Descended from a long line of Jewish communal leaders, Rabbi Wasserman began leading and organizing youth groups and community events as a child. Passionate about the growth and development of the Denver Jewish Community, he is the visionary who charts the course of the organization. In between organizing, teaching, fundraising and attending community events, he enjoys continuing Talmud study and an occasional run down a Colorado slope.
Rabbi Raphael Leban is the Outreach Director of The Jewish Experience. Born in Virginia, he studied at the Mir Yeshiva in Israel and received his Rabbinic Ordination from Rabbi Z. N. Goldberg of the Jerusalem Beis Din. The author of the weekly publication Sparks of Torah, he has a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Master’s degree in Judaic Studies. An avid skier, Rabbi Leban teaches, shmoozes and serves as Director of The Jewish Experience Center in the JCC.
Class Information:
Classes are held on Wednesday evenings at the Jewish Community Center – 350 S. Dahlia St., Denver. Classes run from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Each session consists of two 50-minute classes with a break between the two. Each semester of TJU is approximately 7 weeks in length. TJU runs from October to May and includes pauses for calendar holidays. Semester 1: October 17, 2007
Registration Information:
Yearly Tuition: $150 for one year (three semesters). $50 non-refundable registration fee (Applied toward tuition when you pay remainder) Registrants are not committed to the entire 3-year program when enrolling. Call for information on scholarships. SPECIAL DOUBLE REGISTRANT RATE $200 for two attendees registering together. Any two people who register together are eligible for the special rate. The two need not be spouses or relatives. Just get a friend to join up with you, and you both get the special rate – you both pay only $100 each! Make sure to indicate that you are applying for the special rate when registering and write in the name of the person who is co-registering.
