THE MILWAUKEE KOLLEL is a source for Jewish knowledge and growth. We welcome and accept all Jews, no matter where they are – without condition – providing a stepping stone for Jews of myriad backgrounds who want to discover the beauty and meaning of Jewish life and learning. The Kollel provides a wide array of educational and experiential activities throughout the Milwaukee area - whether at our Centers, a business boardroom or a private home, the Kollel strives to inspire growth in Judaism, one step at a time.
About the teachers:
Rabbi Mendel Senderovic
Rabbi Mendel Senderovic
is the Dean of the Milwaukee Kollel. Rabbi Senderovic’s lectures and classes cover a broad range of Jewish topics, from contemporary issues and Jewish philosophy to advanced Talmud and Jewish practice. He is also the President of the Beth Din Rabbinical Court of Milwaukee, assisting Jewish couples who require a Get (traditional Jewish divorce) and facilitating compromises in financial disputes. Educated at Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood NJ and a sixteen year resident of Milwaukee, Rabbi Senderovic has an infectious personality, an intelligent style, and quick wit.
Rabbi Pinchas Avruch
Rabbi Pinchas Avruch
is a graduate of Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim/Rabbinical Seminary of America and Touro College, both in New York City. As Executive Director of the Kollel he is responsible for finance and administration, but his passion for Jewish education and the growth of his fellow Jew regularly pull him out of the office, into the classroom for the Hebrew Reading Crash Course or off to the Holy Land as coordinator of JWW’s Israel Experience. Rabbi Avruch is treasured by his Executive Study Program students, not to mention his wife Alisa and eight delicious children.
