About the teachers:
Semester 1

Rabbi Ariel Shoshan
is a graduate of both Ner Israel Rabbinical College and the University of Maryland, and a former ice cream vendor for the Chicago Cubs. Certified as a Teacher of Hebrew Language & Literature by Hebrew University in Jerusalem, he serves as the Kollel's Director and as Rabbi of Ahavas Torah: Scottsdale Torah Center. Ever sincere and always smiling, Rabbi Shoshan is treasured by his Executive Learning students, not to mention his wonderful wife Ayala and three delicious children

Rabbi Raphael Landesman
is one of the founding members of the Phoenix Community Kollel, having moved with his family to the Valley from Israel six years ago. An alumnus of Yeshiva Ner Israel in Baltimore and the Mir yeshiva in Jerusalem, he received ordination from a member of the Council of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. He has served as advisor to the local chapter of the NCSY teen group. He lives in Phoenix with his wife Cindy, his five children, and his Pittsburgh Steelers championship gear.
Semester 2
Rabbi Zvi Holland,
Dean of the Phoenix Community Kollel since its inception six years ago, hails from Scranton, PA. Educated in the U.S. and Israel, Rabbi Holland was ordained by the Mir Yeshiva in Jerusalem and a member of the Council of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. Rabbi Holland has an infectious personality, an intelligent style, and a delicious recipe for every occasion. He lives in Phoenix with his wife Sima and four very red-headed offspring.
Rabbi Jordan Brumer
is the newest addition to the Phoenix Community Kollel, joining the staff last year. Rabbi Brumer studied at Yeshiva Ner Israel in Baltimore, as well as receiving a Master of Education at Johns Hopkins U. Rabbi Brumer is the head of the Kollel’s college outreach division, commuting to Tucson several times a week to run programs and shabbatons at the U of Arizona Hillel. He lives in Scottsdale with his wife Risa, and is the proud father of three adorable children who are a major reason for the smiles that grace the faces of U of A shabbatoners.
Class Information:

Classes are held on Monday evenings at Scottsdale Torah Center –
7002 E. Ludlow Dr., Scottsdale.

Classes run from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Each session consists of two 50-minute classes with a break between the two.

Each semester of The Kollel Institute is approximately 7 weeks in length.

Semester 1: September 11-October 30, 2006
Semester 2: November 6-December 18, 2006
Semester 3: January 15-March 5, 2007

Registration Information:

Yearly Tuition:
$150 for one year (three semesters).
$50 non-refundable registration fee
(Applied toward tuition when you pay remainder)
Registrants are not committed to the entire 3-year program when enrolling. Call for information on scholarships.

SPECIAL DOUBLE REGISTRANT RATE
$200 for two attendees registering together.
Any two people who register together are eligible for the special rate. The two need not be spouses or relatives. Just get a friend to join up with you, and you both get the special rate – you both pay only $100 each!
Make sure to indicate that you are applying for the special rate when registering and write in the name of the person who is co-registering. The second person must also send in a separate registration form.
